Apheresetechniken

Certified Program

The heterogeneity of patients, technically complex and versatile treatment methods, numerous "evidence based guidelines" as well as increasingly stringent legal frameworks characterise the use of therapeutic apheresis. Promising results allow the supplementation or even the replacement of conventional drug therapy in many indications. However, the outcome of a treatment is subject to various factors, such as age of the patient, the apheresis method and device settings as well as timing of the therapy. Therefore, the course „Apheresetechniken“ will provide you with the necessary in-depth understanding of pathogenesis, pathophysiology, materials science, and engineering as well as the clinical practices and troubleshooting. So, graduates will be prepared to meet the high demands placed on professional apheresis and on the special care of apheresis patients.
