More and more patients are critical of conventional medical methods and rely instead on naturopathic treatment. However, well-trained naturopathic physicians are rare in Austria.
The university course "Natural Medicine" provides doctors, pharmacists and members of basic medical professions with practical, scientifically profound knowledge in the relevant fields of naturopathic methods (such as phytotherapy, homeopathy, manual therapeutic methods, TCM, etc.).
The aim is to help students further their specialist and professional development in the field of complementary medicine and to address current issues of quality assurance and improvement at university level.
Both courses were accredited by the Austrian Medical Association and the Austrian Chamber of Pharmacists. Corresponding advanced training points will be credited!
Persons with a degree in human medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, pharmacology or a university degree in a medical health profession awarded by an Austrian university or an equivalent foreign university, as well as persons with several years of relevant professional experience in a basic medical profession (4 years with university entrance qualification, 8 years without university entrance qualification).
