The course pursues two objectives: preparing participants for the pharmaceutical representative exam, and providing the basic knowledge that employees in pharmaceutical companies must have.

Unlike in other countries, pharmaceutical representative training programs are not exactly regulated in Austria.  The pharmaceutical representative exam has to be taken in order to practice as a pharmaceutical representative, but how and where students acquire the necessary knowledge for the exam is not defined.
