Legal practice is characterized by a variety of challenges. The constantly growing complexity and fragmentation of the law require not only interdisciplinary basic knowledge and application-oriented skills for contract drafting and litigation, but also a high degree of specialization in individual areas of law. Detailed specialist knowledge on the one hand and an eye for the big picture on the other are essential for a successful professional life.
The Professional LL.M. therefore aims at academically-based, application-oriented continuing legal education. In addition to consolidating important practical skills in the field of national and international litigation, the core curriculum of Professional LL.M. deals with legal tech, professional ethics and specific tax aspects of the liberal professions.
Alongside the general part, the students of the program can choose from among various specializations. These allow students to specialize in two of the following areas: "Arbitration and Dispute Resolution", "Corporate Law / M&A", "Data Protection and Privacy" and "Intellectual Property and Competition". This provides students with in-depth expertise required by the legal advisory professions.
Legal associates, lawyers, attorneys, solicitors and barristers, legal department employees, tax advisors and certified public accountants (incl. trainees), notary candidates, notaries, chief executives, advisory board members, members of special interest groups, and organizations.
