Krems is the ideal location for your studies. Located between the city of Vienna and the Wachau, an area of spectacular natural beauty, it allows for a wide range of leisure activities. The quality of life is high and the infrastructure well developed. Krems is also ideal as a starting point for visiting neighbouring European countries, due to its central European location and good rail connections. European metropolises such as Budapest, Prague and Bratislava are within easy reach.

Before you apply for an Erasmus exchange activity at our university, make sure that your institution already has a valid partnership agreement with Danube University Krems.

Below you will find the necessary documents for a successful Erasmus+ application at Danube University Krems. Please note that the requirements may vary from department to department:

  • A written nomination from your home university
  • A completed and signed Learning Agreement (Either as Online Learning Agreement or as paper version. Template available upon request from the Service Center for International Relations)
  • Certificates, diplomas and testimonials (if required)
  • CV
  • Letter of motivation
  • Photo
  • Passport scan
  • Proof of German or English language proficiency (if required)

Applications for the following winter semester are possible until 15 June.
Applications for the following summer semester can be submitted until 1 December.

Please familiarize yourself with visa requirements, health insurance, registration, etc. before entering Austria.
