In compliance with the Act of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (HS-QSG), the Board of the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria (AQ Austria) decided to certify the internal quality management system of the University for Continuing Education Krems without any conditions on 20 May 2022. In doing so, the Board agreed with the unanimous proposal of the external experts. On 28 June, the certificate was handed over at the University for Continuing Education Krems.
It was Friedrich Faulhammer, the Rector of the University for Continuing Education Krems, who received the certification from Prof Thomas Bieger, President of the Board of AQ Austria, on 28 June 2022 after the University has undergone an internal quality management system audit. With this, the internal quality management of the University was certified again after 2015 in compliance with the Act of Quality Assurance in Higher Education at the legally required interval. In 2015, the University for Continuing Education Krems was among the first universities in Austria to be certified by AQ Austria.
Re-certified without any conditions
“The certification of our internal quality management, we have again received, proves the University for Continuing Education Krems' high quality in the area of teaching and research. We are particularly pleased that the certification was decided without any conditions", Rector Faulhammer commented on the certification decision by AQ Austria.
Along with the President of AQ Austria, the University for Continuing Education Krems was warmly congratulated by Manon Irmer, Procedural and Project Management AQ Austria, Jürgen Petersen, Managing Director AQ Austria, as well as Prof Eva Werner, Vice-President of the Board of AQ Austria, for this recognition of its ongoing efforts to secure and accomplish the bar it has set for teaching and research of the highest quality according to international standards.
Certification of the internal quality management according to §22 HS-QSG
The audit procedure of AQ Austria is carried out on a regular basis and certifies the internal quality management of the University for Continuing Education Krems. It examines the University's understanding of quality as well as how it is strategically anchored, the clear regulation of its structures, responsibilities and competences, the differentiation of its quality management in the area of studies and teaching, the implementation of quality management measures in the field of research and also the availability of comprehensible and effective instruments for quality development concerning human resources. The University for Continuing Education Krems is once again entitled to use the quality seal of AQ Austria for another seven years.
