Open Government Data Standardization

Standardized Metadata are a precondition to efficiently operate a data portal. The Austrian Chancellery initiated a work group which set out the goal to standardize metadata descriptions in Austria to increase interopeability and re-use. International good practice has been incorporated into the recommendations and has been harmonized with similar efforts in German speaking countries.
