Description
Skill shortages are one of the great challenges of our contemporary age, with implications both at global and European level. Healthcare was rapidly acknowledged as one of the most pressing sectors in need of support for reskilling and upskilling, not only because of structural workforce shortages but also due to the exacerbation of current and prospective skill gaps through the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this project is to equip employees from the biotech, pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors with the skills they currently need to remain competitive on the global market. This includes current topics such as digitalization in healthcare, artificial intelligence in healthcare, supply chain management and big data. As part of this project, the University for Continuing Education Krems has the lead for the work package responsible for the delivery of the training units developed within this project.
