Fellows and Scholars Program starts

Austrian and international guest lecturers from science and practice to share their know-how on entrepreneurship and innovation

The call for applications for the new Fellows and Scholars Program "Entrepreneurship and Innovation", organized by the Faculty of Business and Globalization, runs until 31 January 2021. The program aims to involve Austrian and international guest lecturers from science and practice with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation in research and teaching at Danube University Krems.

In the course of the new Fellows and Scholars Program "Entrepreneurship and Innovation", top researchers and pioneers from practical fields shall bring their expertise in research and teaching to Danube University Krems. The practical know-how can derive from business as well as from work in administration or NGOs. Even though the Faculty of Business and Globalization organized the program, it is a joint program of the entire university, and therefore addresses guest lecturers at the Faculties of Health and Medicine or Education, Arts and Architecture as well.

Social change in cutting-edge research and practice

Societal change, innovation, social cohesion and sustainable development, and societal challenges in general are the areas the Fellows and Scholars Program covers. Ideally, the guest lecturers have an emphasis on the region of Lower Austria or the Danube region.

The Fellows and Scholars Program is strongly method- and theory-driven with its basis oriented on interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity. In this way, it is possible to integrate knowledge between science and society. The Transdisciplinary Labs of the Faculty of Business and Globalization are innovative meeting spaces for researchers and practitioners specifically designed for this knowledge transfer.

Until 31 January 2021, applications can be submitted for the first round starting in the summer semester 2021. Due to the well-known reasons, the program's beginning in March 2021 will be held virtually. Starting with the winter semester 2021/22, the program is planned to be held on-campus, if the general conditions allow it. Submissions for the winter semester 2021/22 are possible from 1 April to 31 May 31 2021.
