Description

Energy efficiency of buildings is mainly a result of context-sensitive architectural design, a high-quality building envelope and efficient building-services components. Furthermore, a building's energy consumption is strongly infuenced by aspects of individual patterns of usage and control. These later aspects are adressed in the research-project, ordered by the federal government of Lower Austria. Based on a sound research of available systems of building automation and control a portable device is developed to perdorm a short time monitoring at the real building energy consuption, offering a new dimension of accuracy in consultancy towards potentials of non-investive of increasing energy efficiency.
