Description

The effects of the digital transformation are equally relevant for big cities -Smart Cities- up to the rural areas. The success of digitization is closely linked to socio-political challenges, especially at the municipal level. Communities are confronted in a special way with the provision of services of general interest, local supply and mobility needs. Digital transformation of the administration can only succeed by cooperation of all actors involved. The survey will provide more accurate insights into the current status of technology usage and perceived hurdles. Core messages generated from this can serve as a basis for political decisions for a future-oriented administration. A short study is planned which, based on the recommendations for action from the study of the year 2008, will generate key messages for the design of a future-oriented, digital administration.
