Description

The project "Smart Cities and Digital Twins in Lower Austria" is based on the assumption that smart city solutions require innovative governance approaches in combination with an intelligent use of technologies by city managers and political decision-makers in order to cope with the major societal challenges. As a result, the project aims to extend knowledge from individual disciplines by using the foundations of complexity theory and building on computational social science methods to model a smart city as a system of socio-technical interaction to guide policy decisions towards sustainable behaviour.
