Description

Although open youth work in German-speaking countries is well equipped and professional compared to other European countries, the field of activity is still struggling with cost-cutting measures, a shortage of skilled workers, image problems and is constantly under pressure to legitimize itself. The effects of open youth work are neither easy to communicate nor easy to measure. With this transnational project, the umbrella organizations of open youth work in Austria, Baden-Württemberg, Liechtenstein and Switzerland want to develop strategies and methods that support the communication and lobbying of the professional actions and work of open youth work. The task of the University for Continuing Education is to support the process of the work package to collect data on existing activities in communication and lobbying work as well as approaches to impact analysis - each as a basis for an in-depth elaboration of materials and training elements from the project partners. A policy paper on the topic is also to be drawn up.
