Description

Objectives: The ESPORTS project aims to educate young individuals about the wide range of career opportunities in the esports industry, promote inclusion and diversity within the sector, and develop essential skills required for these roles. It also seeks to provide educators and youth workers with the necessary tools to guide young people in exploring esports careers, thereby enhancing employability and bridging the knowledge gap. Implementation: Key activities include creating the Esports Career Handbook, organizing participatory workshops for youth workers, educators as well as young aspirants, and participating at dissemination events such as the Gamescom and the FROG Conference. These activities will promote esports careers, share industry insights, and connect young people with professionals through interactive learning and career guidance. Results: The project expects to produce a comprehensive, accessible Esports Career Handbook, empower participants with practical skills for esports careers, and foster stronger networks between young people, educators, and industry professionals. It aims to increase awareness of career opportunities, promote diversity, and enhance employability for marginalized and mainstream youth in the esports industry.
