CyBOK Wiki – Expanded Technical Feasibility Study

The first CyBOK Wiki project explored the technical feasibility of converting CyBOK – an over 1000 pages long book released as PDF – into a browser-based, interactive, user friendly resource, by an explorative, prototyping method. During this process, a proof-of-concept software pipeline was developed, considerations for implementation were identified and open questions were described. The first project was based on 3 of the 22 Knowledge Areas that CyBOK consists of. As suggested in the Next Steps chapter of the previous study, the current project CyBOK Wiki – Expanded Technical Feasibility Study takes the methodology and the results of the first projects and expands it to cover all 22 Knowledge Areas. The proof-of-concept pipeline will be expanded to cover further emerging functionalities. considerations for implementation and open questions will be amended and expanded to reflect the learnings of the comprehensive feasibility study. This way, the results of the project at hand will be applicable to the entirity of CyBOK and can form the basis of implementation plan and design.
