In future, construction projects will increasingly be handled in a digitally networked manner between planning and construction. The collection and processing of real-time information will enable project participants to optimize the use of resources and thus reduce construction costs. Studies show that the use of digital tools still offers enormous potential for increasing productivity at all stages of the construction process.
The use of new technologies also brings with it other cooperation requirements. Cross-trade cooperation on the digital model makes it possible to reduce costs in individual processes.
The aim of the “Digital Construction” study program is to impart the know-how required to create a BIM model for the planning and construction of buildings. Current problems of software interfaces are to be recognized and their possible effects presented.
