Professional wound management has become an expertise in the field of qualified health and nursing care. In both short-term and long-term settings, there is a need for healthcare professionals who can advise and care for patients and their families, providing adequate support for living with a wound and the underlying medical condition. Graduates of this training program can find employment opportunities in both outpatient and inpatient settings within healthcare institutions, as well as in elderly care facilities and mobile nursing services. The completion of the two-semester Certificate Program is considered equivalent to the advanced training in "Wound Management" according to § 64 of the Health and Nursing Care Act (Federal Law Gazette I No. 108/1997, as amended by Federal Law Gazette I No. 87/2016).
Martina Kuttig
