The Danube Limes is often referred to as the "hard" border of the Roman Empire. Less known is that the Romans were also present north of the Danube:
today's Lower Austria, South Moravia, and Western Slovakia formed a cultural, economic, and military region.

The research project "Roman Trails" aims to establish a cross-border thematical region in the Weinviertel and South Moravia under a common brand.

We invite all history enthusiasts and adventure seekers to participate in our online survey (10-15 minutes; available in English & German):

Share with us what aspects of the fascinating Roman history north of the Danube captivate you and how you would prefer to receive more information on these topics!
