Description

Health competence is a necessary prerequisite for independent behaviour conducive to maintaining health and, in addition to other factors, such as exercise, nutritio,n and conscious relaxation, has a proven effect on health status, quality of life, and acceptance of health measures. However, in order for these appropriate measures of strengthening health literacy to have the expected effect, it is important to know how health literacy can be positively influenced and which factors are associated with this construct. The Centre for Evaluation is developing an causal model that shows which factors have an influence on health literacy. This project is implemented in cooperation with the “Tut gut!” Gesundheitsvorsorge GmbH with funding from the Lower Austrian Health and Social Fund (NÖGUS).
