Last year, the ZBW and the Belvedere organized the Summer Institute sponsored by the Getty Foundation. This year, the Belvedere is planning a new edition of the Summer Institute on a smaller scale at the beginning of September 2024 with funding from the BMKÖS, among others. The so-called “Belvedere Summer School” will take place for four days at the Belvedere Research Center and one day at the Ars Electronica Center. In addition to the Ars Electronica Center, the University of Leicester in Great Britain and Monash University in Australia as well as the Center are cooperation partners. The summer school programme is aimed equally at researchers, curators and museum experts who already have knowledge of digitization and those who have little or no prior knowledge in this field and are looking for appropriate training and further education. It aims to expand knowledge in an increasingly digital museum world for both smaller and established institutions and to guide new talent in the cultural sector.
