Description
GESUNDHEIT GESTALTEN is a digital infrastructure developed by the German PKV Association to support setting-based prevention efforts. It serves as an infrastructure enabling health promotion and prevention providers to develop and deliver digital interventions, access support services, and utilize tools for project management and networking. Between 2022 to 2024, the Center for Evaluation (ZfE) conducted a developmental evaluation of GESUNDHEIT GESTALTEN, generating ongoing insights to inform iterative adjustments and further development. This evaluation provided continuous insights for adjustments and further development. Now, GESUNDHEIT GESTALTEN has transitioned into its operational phase. The upcoming external evaluation aims to systematically assess the performance of the infrastructure, evaluate the extent to which its objectives are being met, and provide an evidence base to support strategic decisions regarding its continuation beyond 2025. The evaluation will focus on: • the current status and patterns of infrastructure utilization, • the value provided to health promotion and prevention providers, and • future perspectives for the infrastructure. To address these objectives, a diverse methodological approach will be applied. Planned methods include structured online interviews, comprehensive secondary data analysis of the operational metrics, real-time online feedback collection from providers, an online focus group, and an evaluation workshop. The external evaluation is funded by the PKV Association and is scheduled to take place from Q1/2025 to Q4/2025.
