Social work sees itself as a resource-oriented, personal and professional profession for all people whose situations require quality-oriented support. This includes special aspects of legal and methodological skills as well as special intervention measures. Professional ethics, ethical behavior and knowledge based on human rights form the starting point for the professionalism of social work and are taught contextually.

The aim of this continuing education program is the acquisition of central competencies and skills, support and prevention measures and forms in the practical activity of social work, based on applied research. The AEP “Core Competencies of Social Work” offers a qualification for employees in the diverse areas of social work, e.g. in official social work, in low-threshold counseling centers, in inpatient and outpatient services.
