The winners presented in this publication come from the "European Heritage Awards Archive", which has been based at Danube University Krems since 2012 and also contains all other submissions for the awards.

Between 2002 and 2020, a total of 300 projects throughout Europe have received the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards as ‘outstanding achievements in the conservation, enhancement and adaptation to new uses of cultural heritage’.

This book is published by Danube University Krems in partnership with Europa Nostra’s Industrial and Engineering Heritage Committee and with the financial support of the Federal Ministry for Art, Culture, Public Service and Sport and the Office of the Lower Austrian Provincial Government.
