School of Reconstruction Accumoli

Since the earthquake series in central Italy in the years 2016-17, a number of universities and research institutions have dealt with questions relating to the reconstruction of the destroyed cities in their teaching and research activities. A “School of Reconstruction” was set up in the city of Accumoli in order to bundle, network and further develop all these activities. The school is operated by the partner institutions in cooperation with the responsible political and regulatory authorities, local planners and the affected population.

The Comune di Accumoli provides the premises of the “School of Reconstruction” in a newly built, earthquake-proof wooden construction. In addition to being used for teaching and research purposes by the partner institutions, tourist activities are also planned here.
