Dr.-Ing. Ralph W. Hofmann, MSc 

Ralph W. Hofmann is an architect, university lecturer and state-certified and sworn civil engineer. In Germany, he studied architecture at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden and wrote his dissertation on “Real Estate Branding Assessment (REBA) - Development of a Customer-Based Brand Equity (CBBE) Model for Behavioral Brand Analysis in a Real Estate Context” at the Bauhaus University Weimar. From 2017 to 2021, he held the chair at the Hamburg School of Business Administration-HSBA. He was responsible for the development and implementation of the newly established “Real Estate & Leadership” course at the university.

Mag. Dr. rer. nat. Elisabeth Oberzaucher 

Elisabeth Oberzaucher holds a doctorate in biology with a focus on behavioral biology and evolutionary environmental psychology. Since 2003, her research in the field of urban ethology has focused on the design of sustainable urban living spaces. Her teaching activities have taken her to the University of Vienna, the TU Wien and the University of Applied Arts Vienna, among others. From 2016 to 2017, she held a professorship for Equality, Adaptivity and Diversity at the University of Ulm. She is President of the International Society for Human Ethology and on the advisory board of the Vienna urban development project Seestadt Aspern.

 

Department for Higher Education Research

Prof. Dr. Christine Böckelmann 

Christine Böckelmann completed her doctorate in psychology at the University of Zurich on the subject of quality management in the field of psychosocial counseling. As part of the development of the PH Zurich, she took over as Head of the Department of Education in 2002. In 2011, she was elected Rector of the Karlsruhe University of Education. She has been Director of the Lucerne School of Business since spring 2016. She is also co-founder of the REHES network (Research on Higher Education and Science Switzerland).

 

Department for Arts and Cultural Studies

Priv.-Doz. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Simone Kriglstein  

Simone Kriglstein is Associate Professor at Masaryk University and researcher at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology. Her focus is on the design and evaluation of user interfaces and interaction methods, including for immersive environments. She has published more than 100 papers in international conference proceedings and journals. Kriglstein has received several awards or nominations for her work on games. It is planned to integrate her into the teaching activities of the entire department; in terms of research, there are major overlaps with the Center for Applied Game Studies in particular.

Honorary Professors

Prof.essa Dott.essa Alessandra Bonazza, Ph.D.

The University for Continuing Education Krems has awarded Alessandra Bonazza the honorary professorship for the years 2022 – 2027. After studying geology at the University of Ferrara, Alessandra Bonazza received her PhD in "Earth Sciences" in 2004. She has been associated with the Department for Building and Environment for many years in a variety of research projects. The focus here is primarily on the topic of architectural heritage in combination with climate change impacts. Alessandra Bonazza has acted as project coordinator in a number of EU projects, including ProteCHt2save, the project "Study on Safeguarding Cultural Heritage from Natural and Man-Made Disasters" and the research project STRENCH.

 

Prof. Ing. dr. h. c. Miloš Drdácký, DrSc

The University for Continuing Education Krems has awarded Miloš Drdácký the honorary professorship for the years 2022 – 2027. He studied "Civil Engineering" and "Theory of Structures" at the Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague and received his "DrSc" in 2001. Miloš Drdácký is a world-renowned scientist in the field of cultural heritage protection and a frequently invited expert to foreign commissions or UNESCO missions to assess monuments and settlements. Miloš Drdácký played a significant role in the development of the Department for Building and Environment in the past, in the scientific field as well as in teaching.

 

Prof. Dr. phil. Dr. h. c. Dr. habil. rer. oec. Wolfgang Rohrbach

The University for Continuing Education Krems has awarded Wolfgang Rohrbach the honorary professorship for the years 2022 – 2027. He graduated in economic and social history and Slavic philology at the University of Vienna and received his "Dr. phil." in 1972. Subsequently, Rohrbach habilitated at the Faculty of Economics of the West-Hungarian University of Soprano in 2006. Wolfgang Rohrbach is President of Europa Nostra Austria and Vice President of the Austrian-Serbian Association. The cooperation with Wolfgang Rohrbach extends to support at numerous events such as the firmly established "Forum Building Science".
