Lucia Krajčík Lauková studied the influence of glycan modifications on platelet surface glycoproteins on the activation of platelets during extracorporeal therapies. For her publication “Desialylation of platelet surface glycans enhances platelet adhesion to adsorbent polymers for lipoprotein apheresis”, published in the International Journal for Artificial Organs Lucia Krajčík Lauková won the ESAO-SAGE Award 2021, which was presented during the ESAO Conference (September 7-11, 2021, London).
