With its seven departments, the Faculty of Health and Medicine represents University for Continuing Education Krems’ medical and health sciences competency. The departments teach and research in the fields of health sciences and medicine, biomedical research, evidence-based medicine and epidemiology, health and economics, dementia research and nursing science, psychotherapy and bio psychosocial health.

Department for Health Sciences, Medicine and Research
The Department for Health Sciences, Medicine and Research is specialized in postgraduate continuing education in clinical medicine. It focuses on the fields of regenerative medicine, incl. orthopedics and sport medicine as well as complementary medicine. Application-oriented research in the field of regenerative medicine concentrates on tissue regeneration and cartilage replacement.
