The temporary appropriation of public open spaces in so-called PopUpUrbanSpaces was the topic of Dr. Christine Rottenbacher’s, Center for Environmental Sensitivity, and Stefanie Kotrba’s, MSc, Center for Climate Engineering, both from the University for Continuing Education Krems, at the “Zukunftsforum Bauen und Umwelt” on April 24, 2024 in Krems.
The two also held a workshop on “The Art of Hosting - Organizing participative and co-creative processes in public spaces” as part of the event.
With presentations, workshops and discussions, the “Zukunftsforum Bauen und Umwelt” on April 24, 2024 at Campus Krems offered orientation on current developments in relation to topics that pose challenges for the construction and building sector - such as the requirements of climate change and sustainability, changes in the use of public space and current technological developments. The Department for Building and Environment at the University of Continuing Education Krems presented its range of topics from research and teaching.
