Description

Pandemic decisions need to link rapid, reliable testing with comprehensive modelling of potential impacts. Such comprehensive systems are currently lacking in Europe. This project therefore aims to develop and validate a diagnostic point-of-care instrument (PANPOC) for the rapid detection of respiratory RNA viruses with pandemic potential. In addition, a prognostic platform based on artificial intelligence (PANRISK) will be developed. This is intended to predict the geographical and temporal spread of the target viruses for early warning, trigger an alarm if a threshold value to be defined is exceeded and contribute to maintaining public health by enabling appropriate preventive measures.Pandemic decisions need to link rapid, reliable testing with comprehensive modelling of potential impacts.
