Long night of research - Department Clinical Neurosciences and Preventive Medicine

The Department of Clinical Neurosciences and Preventive Medicine participated in the Long Night of Research with the station “Heartbeat by Heartbeat - My Blood Pressure Control” on May 24, 2024.

Together with the department’s cooperation partner, Prim. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Walter Struhal, visitors were explained how the body regulates blood pressure and how it can be measured. Among other things, it was shown how the pulse changes when standing up after lying down and explained how humans differ from other mammals in this regard. Both adults and children showed equal interest, and perhaps one or two future doctors were inspired.
