The establishment of an efficient primary care system is one of the most important reform projects in the Austrian healthcare system. Doctors, representatives of the relevant healthcare professions (therapists, speech therapists, midwives, nurses, etc.) and political decision-makers were given the opportunity at the event to get answers to the challenges surrounding the expansion of PVE in Austria and to get a more detailed picture of projects that have already been successfully implemented.

The Department for Economy and Health at the University for Continuing Education Krems was represented at this year's PVE conference on June 6 and 7, 2024 in Haslach an der Mühl. Christian Steinlechner gave a lecture on the new study program "Management of care facilities in the private practice sector", highlighting the key aspects, content and perspectives for setting up and managing primary care units and further improving existing ones.
