At an event organized by the "Österreichische Gesundheitskasse", 40 prospective doctors learned how to run their own practice with a health insurance contract.

The main message was to gain practical experience during their studies in order to make it easier to choose a career later on. Various health insurance contract models and the importance of general and family medicine were discussed. Dr. Johanna Pichler, Dr. Thomas Denk, Dr. Julia Bockhorn-Schöfmann and Dr. Clemens Vanicek offered practical insights into everyday life as a contract doctor.

We, as the Department for Economy and Health, also had the opportunity to take part and provide information about our current study programs.
