Univ.-Prof. Dr. Viktoria Weber is Vice-Rector for Research and Sustainable Development at the University for Continuing Education Krems. She was elected unanimously by the University Council on April 19, 2021. She has been Vice-Rector for Research and Promotion of Young Scientists since December 1, 2010, and Executive Vice-Rector at the University for Continuing Education Krems since September 25, 2012.
Weber studied food technology and biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, and habilitated in biochemistry in 2008. From 1994 to 1996 she worked as post-doc at the Institute for Tumor Biology and Cancer Research at the University of Vienna and joined the Center for Biomedical Technology at Danube University Krems as a research assistant in 1999. In 2010 Viktoria Weber was appointed professor for Applied Biochemistry. She is Head of the Department for Biomedical Research.
