Open Access stands for unrestricted online access to scientific information that is free to end-users. "Scientific information" in this context refers to scientific publications in academic journals and to the data underlying these publications.

The University for Continuing Education Krems explicitly encourages its researchers to publish their scientific work in the sense of Open Access.
