Description

In our interdisciplinary and interfaculty research group, we address the question of how meta-competences, in the sense of a set or deeper competences behind previous disciplinary competencies, can be learned for complex environments and their uncertain situations. In doing so, the research group builds on existing teaching and research projects as well as a large number of international publications, which, however, have not yet been integrated. By synergizing and recombining existing knowledge from different faculties and departments with heterogeneous disciplinary but complementary perspectives, the existing areas will be further strengthened. In the spirit of the topic (similar to jazz ensembles) minimal structures and individual concrete goals will be formulated, but the exact process will emerge in the developed team based on existing resources. One of the methods used will be Expert Round Tables to integrate the knowledge of experts in different departments. International and transdisciplinary publications in peer-reviewed journals are expected to emerge from this project. The development of an innovative teaching design for meta-competences is also a focus. The submission of an application for international research projects and teaching grants will be implemented in a final step. The goal of the research group is to explore these meta-competences and to develop and offer innovative teaching designs as a university for continuing education. In summary, the following objectives are pursued: 1. international and transdisciplinary publications in peer-reviewed journals 2. development of an innovative teaching design for meta-competences 3. submission of an application for international research projects and teaching grants
