Description
The ecological footprint of healthcare is considerable. The aim of the cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary research group is to address the relationship between evidence-based healthcare and the sustainability of health services. In a project period of two years, the project spans the range from (i) the identification of useless or harmful interventions in the health care sector, to (ii) their economic evaluation in terms of "sustainability potential", to (iii) the challenge of “unlearning” of thought and practice pattern on a societal, organizational and individual level. According to the complex challenges, a mixed methods approach will be chosen (systematic literature reviews, workshops, etc.). This pilot project is intended to lay the foundation for future, larger research projects.
