In line with the concept of research-based and inspired teaching, the four specialized fields conduct independent legal research, particularly in the fields of insurance law, commercial private law, international law and EU law as well as medical law; in feedback to this, thematically related university courses are carried out. Together with the Center for Intellectual Property, Media and Innovation Law, they are firmly integrated into the Austrian scientific community and networked with other departments and faculties within the University for Continuing Education on an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary basis in research and teaching.
