The department's study programs support the development of professionals in the educational sector. Our programs are designed as linkages between research and management into higher education and promote the transfer from science to practice. To this end, the Department foster national and international educational and higher education cooperations, and has both nationally and internationally oriented continuing education programs.

The Master in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE) focuses on the management of higher education, research and innovation institutions. MARIHE trains students to be change agents that can take the lead in developing these institutions, can critically assess and employ managerial instruments and can turn policy advice into strategic management practice.
