Description

"FROG - Future and Reality of Gaming" (https://www.frogvienna.at) is a games studies conference that takes place as part of "Game City" at Vienna City Hall - this year from October 11 to 13, 2024. Since 2007, FROG has brought together experts from various disciplines to address questions of games research and development, to shed light on the significance of games for society and thus to jointly explore the future and reality of games. A special focus of the conference is dedicated to the pedagogical dimensions of today's gaming culture and sheds light on its significance, opportunities and challenges for today's youth culture. In order to promote the youngest researchers and to introduce a young perspective on the topic, pupils will be invited to present their pre-scientific work or diploma theses on the subject of games as part of a special "Junior Expert" track. The conference is organized and carried out by the Center for Applied Games Research.
