Department for Migration and Globalization

We are working on one of the most moving themes of modern social development, migration in a globalized world. We want to contribute to better mutual understanding and secure the quality of life and social cohesion through our research and course offers.

Our teaching and research focuses on

  • Health and social affairs
  • Housing and neighborhoods
  • Social and personal security and human rights
  • as well as religion and intercultural communication with a special focus on the role of gender and generational change.

We conduct basic and applied research and advise politics, business, civil society and the media. Our research findings are incorporated in the courses we offer. In this way, we build a bridge between science and practice to support our students in their professional development.

Our team consists of experts from many disciplines. This way, we aim to meet the challenges of our complex and divers topics.
