On 4 June 2024, the first event of the month took place on Hafnerplatz in Krems: Pupils from BORG Krems painted the closed street surface.
At the Pint of Science Festival in Krems, project members from PopUpUrbanSpaces answered the question of why open spaces are important for the climate.
Superblock Meeting in Vienna on April 29 and 30, 2024 - PopUpUrbanSpaces was represented there by Stefanie Kotrba from the Department for Building and Environment.

In early March 2024, the meeting of the partners of the PopUpUrbanSpaces project took place in Varazdin, Croatia. The aim of the meeting was to discuss and advance various aspects of the project, including capacity building, action planning and communication strategies. Dr. Christine Rottenbacher and Stefanie Kotrba, MSc from the Department of Building and Environment took part.
On the occasion of the opening of the new Ringstraße in Krems on October 1, 2023, the PopUpUrbanSpaces Team in Krems organized a so called FAXI (Fahrradtaxi) to take interested citizens around.
From June 27 to 28, 2023, the first partner meeting of the Central Europe Interreg project “PopUpUrbanSpaces” took place in Nyíregyháza, Hungary.
