The inaugural Conference on Science Diplomacy in Central, Eastern, and South-Eastern Europe brought together a vibrant community of scientists, diplomats, and representatives from numerous institutions to explore the role of science diplomacy in fostering regional and global collaboration.

Held in Trieste from 20–21 November 2024, the conference was hosted by the University for Continuing Education Krems (UWK) and the Central European Initiative (CEI). Over two days, participants engaged in insightful discussions and exchanged ideas on the practice and potential of science diplomacy in addressing shared challenges and opportunities.
