While thousands of enthusiastic players are gathering annually at the Game City in the Vienna City Hall, the FROG invites to an academic discourse on the subject of games and play. This year the conference addresses issues of “Money & Games” and invites game scholars, creators, youth workers, activists and enthusiasts from around the globe to come together and “follow the money” by discussing the traces it leaves on the field of games & play.

The conference „FROG – Future and Reality of Gaming“ is funded by the Austrian Federal Chancellery (Sektion VI – Families and Youth) and organised together with the Center for Applied Game Studies (University for Continuing Education Krems, Department for Arts and Cultural Studies).

• Full Conference Ticket on site (including meals, coffee, snacks, goodie bag): € 49,00 (please purchase before 8 Oct 2023)
• Conference Ticket on site – entrance only (NOT included: meals, coffee, snacks, goodie bag): free
• Online Participation: free

After registration we keep you updated about the programme via email and send you the Zoom link shortly before the conference. On site participants will also receive the Zoom link. If you are participating i.e. one day on site and the other days online, please book only the on site ticket.
